I’m still working on a map, but for now, a general description should work.
Lumiere’s Guardian is an Ancient Crystal Dragon named Phoebe the Bright. (Of course, they all have more draconic names, but they chose simpler names in order to make it easier for their denizens.)
Phoebe, like most Crystal Dragons, is good-hearted but slightly vain, and the architecture of Lumiere’s major cities reflects that. Crystal towers, glittering streets, and a rich and vibrant culture are what makes Lumiere what it is.
This nation is a massive cultural center for the Archipelago over all. The Bard’s College is here, as is the Mage’s Academy. Most travel here happens by Zeppelin due to the mountains and jungles but there is a lot to see on foot as well.
Major Cities:
Crystal City – A City built on one of the many floating islands of Lumiere and accessible via zeppelin. This shining city is the Capital of Lumiere and where the Ministry meets and lives. It is a massive culture center and tourist trap, with lots of artistry and glamor. It’s basically New York City. The Bard’s College is located here.
Shorehaven – Shorehaven is a major port city in Lumiere and is where the Mage’s Academy is located. Lots of sailors come through here and so do luxury liners. When visiting Lumiere, Shorehaven is usually the first stop.
Forsaken – Forsaken is where the majority of the Gem Mines are, tucked away in the mountains with tough soil and rough waters. Forsaken used to be known as Forerunner, as it was the first city to be established as well as the former Capital, but the Great War caused the city to be all but destroyed and monsters there became uncontrollable, so the city was abandoned and rebuilt, becoming Forsaken after the Capitol was moved to Crystal City. The people here used technology from Zima and Crystal City to get by.
New Beach Town – Beach Town is the smallest of the cities in Lumiere, originally built on sandy beaches before a tsunami heavily damaged it and flooded it. The people moved to the nearby floating island that once held a few McMansions and will take zepplins down to the beach or to see the ruins.
Andbury – Andbury was originally just another city on a floating island, but as Zepplin Travel became more and more common when traversing the island, the island’s central location became vital, allowing for shorter travel times for pilots, refueling, and other required stops. There is no shortage of things to do in Andbury as well, as it is a massive scientific center where people experiment with all kinds of things.
There are of course smaller settlements, but due to how common Zepplin Travel has become, they are getting less and less traffic and sometimes vanishing altogether as people leave for bigger things.
